No Pressure Cooker Necessary

I soaked the beans in cold water for a day, and then put them in a double boiler to cook all evening over a small flame on the stovetop. They cooked up just fine. A double boiler is much cheaper and easier to use than a pressure cooker!

Simply delicious and so satisfying.

I ordered the Cranberry beans and not only was cooking them up, satisfying, they were incredibly tasty. The second time around, I cooked a double batch, because I like to share with friends and they got gobbled up quickly. I’m looking forward to cooking up the Bayo beans soon, and will post a review on those once I do.

Freshest beans, just like when we grew them on the farm

My mother was complaining about the beans in her supermarket always being old. So I shopped online and found Primary Beans. I brought them to my mother and she was ecstatic. She said they were the best beans and she cooked some when I went to visit and I agree! They were as fresh as the ones we had on the farm when growing up. Thank you so much! I just ordered her a few pounds more! I will continue to get our beans from Primary Beans.

Nice and Versatile

This was my first foray into Primary Beans and cooking in a pressure cooker. I used the go-to guide recipe and it was the right choice. We enjoyed them brothy from the pot with a salad. I used the leftovers in two other dishes during the week and they completely adapted. Now that I’ve cooked a couple of types, I will say that I’m finding the unsoaked beans take 8 - 10 minutes longer than the chart shows. But that could be my pot.

Excellent Holiday Side Dish

Cooked first with pressure cooker and was surprised how much they plump up, were delicious just like that. Made the Brown Butter Sage Cranberry Beans recipe with Kale instead of swiss chard as a side for our yearly Vegan Thanksgiving, definitely recommend!
