Tasty beans

I used to smother my beans with whatever I had so as to hide their flavor. Now I love just eating these beans with a little onion, garlic and salt and pepper so as not to lose their wonderful flavor. I will keep buying these beans!

They're fantastic & cook pretty fast. I use Instant Pot so beans are ready in no time. Shipping was fast & prices are great. Thank you so much!

Bean Story

Many years ago beans were a necessity for my family, a life saver. I was a single, working mom with two young children and we were far from family - on our own without any financial support. Ah, the strength and determination of those younger days. We were a bean family then out of necessity. A pot of pinto beans became beans and cornbread, then a portion went to chili for another meal, then pinto beans for bean and cheese burritos. The least expensive way to provide meals was making things from scratch and all types of beans (and rice) became a staple in our meals.

Getting back to beans after all these years has been sheer joy! I am enjoying the recipes and experimenting with different ways to incorporate them into my daily meals. No soaking - so flavorful! My favorite quick meal is a bowl filled with beans, a bit of salad greens and other fresh vegetables.

So here’s to beans and all their wonderful flavors!

So many beans….so little time!

I have really been enjoying our sampler, finding recipes to use with each variety of bean. All have been delicious and surprisingly simple to cook in my pressure cooker. My previously anti-bean teenage daughter is even a convert now!

"velvety" is right

This is my second batch of primary beans and wow, so good. It took my instant pot 58 mins to get them fully tender (guide says 36) but worth it! The texture is almost peanut butter-like. Amazing! I cooked the full lb in chicken stock, bay leaf, a few cloves of garlic, Italian blend herbs, black pepper, and some chili flake. Highly recommend these guys!
