Chickpeas

After finally slow-cooking last year’s chickpeas, I found myself craving more. I ordered multiple packages. They are sweet, versatile and scrumptious. I add them to soups, pestos, polentas, and like them on their own with a bit of salt, oil and parsley. I am so glad you offer them.

Great Product!

On a lark I ordered a variety of beans thinking, “How could they be that different from bagged in the store”. I am here to say - I am here to say, “All the difference in the world”!! Never going back! They truly are wonderful!!

Superior Chickpeas

I honestly thought that these wouldn’t be that much better than the kind I get from Amazon or the grocery store. Boy was I wrong!! This is the BEST chickpea I have ever made. They taste amazing, creamy but firm and work well in all my staples: dilly chickpeas, chickpea “tuna”, scrambled chickpeas. The only thing I didn’t try them in is my roasted chickpeas recipe but that’s cause they were gone within days of cooking them. I can’t recommend these enough.

Chick Pea Perfection

I haven't ever actually been a big fan of Chick Peas, until I tried these Chick Peas from Primary Beans! Wow! What a difference from store bought or canned. I did soak, and they bloomed beautifully, and then cooked easily with a lil kombu seaweed on the stovetop. The flavor was so fresh and texture so creamy that I snacked on some just on their own. I utilized the Chick Peas in a vegetable medly of sauteed onions, garlic and curry flavors (fresh spices from Diaspora). I happily ate this mixture, adjusting spices as I went for a retreat I was doing, and it was so tasty without getting tired of the flavors or the beans themselves. I can't wait to try the black beans as that is a standard here in our Ominvore home. Well done! Primary Beans!

special great flavor for Hummus

Primary Beans chickpeas raise the level of flavor in my homemade hummus.
With the addition of another ingredient sold by a small, women owned business, SOOM tahini, the hummus is a favorite and requested part of dinner .

The only chickpeas I'll cook

I gave up on cooking my own chickpeas b/c of old, funky un-softenable ones from many sources. Then these popped up on my radar, and I gave them a try. Perfect! We they cook up quickly and stay intact yet creamy on the inside. We're a household of 2, but I order 3 lbs at a time. And I love to support a woman-owned business and a Montana farming family! Do not hesitate!
